Puravayal is a village in the Archdiocese of Tellicherry.  The parishioners really longed for a convent in their parish. On receiving the repeated request from the parish authorities, Nazareth Sisters started the convent on 26th January, 1990. Home visits are the main apostolate undertaken by the sisters.
