Deepagiri is a remote parish of Tellicherry Archdiocese. Most of the people are farmers. The Nazareth Sisters opened a convent at Deepagiri on 21st  July 1996. It is an under developed area. Bearing with the inconveniences, the sisters offer their services to the people just like being one among them. They concentrate on the upliftment of the poor both materially and spiritually. A  pre- primary has also been opened for the village children. The Sisters make routine house visits in– and- around the parish and help the people to sort out their challenges
