Apostolate an overview

Our call is to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world. We are bound to spread the spirit and light of the Gospel to all and sundry. We, the Nazareth Sisters should be content and happy, besides being liberal in service. The unity, the love and the spirit of service are the sources of energy for all our apostolic activities.

Family Apostolate

     The house of Elizabeth was sanctified by the visitation of our Mother Mary. The goal of our Family apostolate is to glorify God; to impart the peace and love of Jesus, to save souls and to make God known and loved. We visit dysfunctional families around our houses, to help them out to reconcile with God and to bring them up by sharing the love of Jesus.

Parish Ministry

                  Our ministry is mostly in the parishes of Syro-Malabar Dioceses. Partaking in the liberating mission of Jesus, it is our special concern to make each parish a community of faith, worship and sharing by giving leadership in organizing prayer meetings and seminars.

Healing Ministry

              Through caring for the sick we transmit the compassionate love of Jesus to them. Running centres of naturopathy is one of our important apostolates. Through these centres we educate the common man about health care; preventive methods; less expensive treatment methods and the preparation use of herbal medicines etc. In our treatment we focus on spiritual as well as mental healing. We are sensitive to the needs of the poor and destitute.

Education apostolate

Running nursery and kindergarten schools is an important apostolate. We instill into the hearts of the children the sense of discipline, honesty and good manners. We help our youth to develop healthy personalities with a value oriented view.

Gospel ministry 

       The Gospel ministry has to take into account the life situations and problems of men. We must make use of opportunities to give leadership in retreats for the children and grown-ups. We should be aware of our artistic and literary talents to spread the good news of salvation.

Catechetical Ministry

              Through catechism we proclaim the Gospel message to build up the community, to lead to prayer and worship and to promote peace and justice. We give special care in preparing the children for the receiving of sacraments, in helping them to choose their vocation etc.  

Prayer ministry

             The Holy Family of Nazareth-Jesus, Mary and Joseph lived a prayerful life. Jesus received power and strength from his prayers on the mountain in solitude. Through our prayer we strengthen the works of the missionaries in establishing the Kingdom of God in the hearts of people.
