Description	Nazareth Sisters started its pastoral ministry and village development works at Nagla Gadaria, a remote village of Etawah Mission, in Uttar Pradesh the mission station of Changanasserry Arch- Diocese, under the jurisdiction of Shamshabad Mission Diocese in the year of 2019. Rev. fr. Thomas Ezhikad Etawah mission superior invited the sisters to Nagla Gadaria village near the Jeevan Jyothi Minor Seminary of the mission to extend its evangelical missions to the remote village of the state through socio, cultural and educational development programmes. This mission was inaugurated by his Excellency Mar Thomas Tharayil the auxiliary Bishop of Changanacherry Arch Diocese on 23rd January 2019, with Sr.Archana NS and Sr. Shelly NS as its starting members. This is the 2nd mission station of Nazareth Sisters in Uttar Pradesh. PASTORAL MINISTRY: The parish work of Nazareth Sisters in this mission area began on 30th November 2019 at Alphonsa Church the substation of Christ the King Church Etawha, under the guidance and spiritual leadership of Rev. Fr. Martin the vicar of church and spiritual father of Jeevan Jyothi Minor seminary. It is a parish community of Nurses working at SAIFAI Medical College of Uttar Pradesh. Sisters work zealously, for the spiritual pursuit of the parish community through Sunday holy Masses, Catechism classes and visiting the houses of parishioners and prayer meetings. VILLAGE WORKS : This mission and its activity have an unprecedented relevance in the involving of Socio cultural milieu of the locality. It has been lighting up the land where it sprouted for five years, through Jeevan Jyothi Social Development Centre - the social work wing of Etawah Mission. The activities of mission in the village are formation of self help group for the marginalized women of the locality for their socio cultural and economic mainstreaming. Mission has spread its reach through informal education for the school dropouts and illiterate adolescent girls of 8 villages. Besides these there are vocational training programmes on cutting and tailoring , and beautician courses for unemployed young girls of the villages. At present Nazareth Sisters reached its social services to eight villagers of the Etawah mission with the guidance of the fathers and with help of the Brothers of Jeevan Jyothi Minor Seminary. To impart value based education to young generation of the remote village, Ettawah Mission opened an english medium school at Nagalagadarian village in respones to the request of the villagers in the year 2022 May 15th named Daivamatha Vidhya Mandhir with Fr. Justin of Ettawah mission as the principal and Nazareth Sisters as vice principal and teaching staff.

The Congregation of the Nazareth Sisters is a religious community for women. It was founded in 1975 by Mar Sebastian Valloppilly, the first Bishop of Tellicherry, Kerala. The members have been called to share God's redemptive love with all the children of God, following the ideals of the Holy Family......
