Description	Deepagiri is a remote parish of Tellicherry Archdiocese. Most of the people are farmers. The Nazareth Sisters started a convent at Deepagiri on 21st July 1996. Being an under developed area bearing with the inconveniences, the sisters offer their services to the people just like being one among them. The service of the sisters concentrate on the upliftment of the poor both materially and spiritually. A pre- primary school has also been opened for the village children. The Sisters make routine house visits in– and- around the parish and help the people to sort out their challenges

The Congregation of the Nazareth Sisters is a religious community for women. It was founded in 1975 by Mar Sebastian Valloppilly, the first Bishop of Tellicherry, Kerala. The members have been called to share God's redemptive love with all the children of God, following the ideals of the Holy Family......
